The deals varied from £200K - £4m, all not exceeding 8-10% equity. Most of transactions required minimal participation in the business and essentially made the client a passive investor with minimal supervision. Security of the investments was achieved by rather strict pre-emption and exit provisions of the shareholders agreement or by creatin convertible loan instruments.
